The Monday Day Men’s league is the men's senior club championship. It is a choose-your-own format open to senior men curlers age 50 and over or as approved by the League Convener. Games are played Monday mornings at either 9:30 a.m. or 11:45. The league is a mix of experience and abilities, with a lot of fun along the way.
For the 2025-2026 season, 19 teams that have signed up will play a 1st ROUND (18 games + 1 bye) as a round robin schedule. Standings are based on win-loss-tie points (33/10/21). Standings will determine what teams are in the Flights for ROUND 2. If there are 2 teams tied to enter or exit a Flight then the tie breaker will be the head to head game in ROUND 1, and if still tied, then a rock will be thrown to the button with sweeping after the last game of Round 1. If there are three or more teams tied to enter or exit a flight then the teams will throw a rock to the button with sweeping after their last game in ROUND 1. Teams will be ranked in order after the 1st ROUND.
The 2nd ROUND will be divided into 4 Flights of 4 Teams per Flight, and an E Flight with 3 team, based on ranking.. The A Flight will be the Championship Flight. Each Flight (A,B,C,D) will play 3 games (WIN/LOSS). If a game in the A FLIGHT is tied after 8 ends, then 1 extra end is to be played, and if still tied, then 1 rock thrown closest to the button with sweeping. All other Flights if tied after 8 ends, then 1 rock is thrown closest to the button with sweeping. After ROUND 2 the top 2 Teams in each Flight will play for each Flight FINAL ROUND 3 win on Monday April 6th, in a 1 vs 2 game. The 3 vs 4 game will also be played for a Final in each Flight.
The E Flight with 3 teams will be given an option of Half games back to back (points), or full games where one team sits each week and on the Final Day. (TBD)
If there are 3 teams tied with a 2-1 record after ROUND 2 then the team with the higher rank at the start of ROUND 2 places 1st in the Flight for the FINAL game. The tie breaker for 2nd place is based on the head to head game in ROUND 2.
ROUND 3 is the 1 vs 2 FINAL and the 3 vs 4 FINAL in each Flight, played on Monday April 6th. If the A Flight 1 vs 2 game is tied after 8 ends, then 1 extra end is to be played, and if still tied, then 1 rock thrown closest to the button with sweeping. All other Flights if tied after 8 ends, then 1 rock is thrown closest to the button with sweeping.
