Little Rockers
Curling, like golf, is a sport that can be played for a life-time. As a sport, it requires balance, coordination and flexibility. It is also good exercise. Curling is a game requiring strategy; comparing shot options and planning shots that will achieve the team's goal; it is like "chess on ice". Curling is also a great way to meet new friends.
Brant Curling offers youth curling on Sunday afternoons. The Little Rocker program is an introductory program for youth from the ages of 7 to 12 (grades 2 to 6). It runs from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm most Sunday afternoons between Thanksgiving and Easter. The program is non-competitive and its main objective is to intoduce the game of curling to our future curling stars.
For those youth that wish to curl, but are 12 or over, Brant Curling offers the Bantam Junior program for ages 12 to 18 (grades 6 to 12). Bantam Juniors take to the ice on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00.

To register, come to Brant Curling (34 Morrell Street) on the first Sunday after Thanksgiving at 12:30 pm.

Equipment
Brant Curling provides the sliders, the brooms, the ice and the rocks. The littlest of Little Rockers use rocks that are half the weight, and use ice that is half the distance of the normal sheet. This allows them to develop proper fundamentals while achieving success in delivering and sweeping rocks.
Little Rockers are required to wear a helmet at all times while they are on the ice surface. A pair of indoor gym shoes (not worn outside) are to be brought into the club. Every effort must be made to prevent sand, salt and pebbles from reaching the ice surface as those substances have a negative impact on the ice surface and the running surface of the rocks.
It is highly recommended that a parent/guardian attend every Sunday during the curling season, just in case their curler slips and falls.
COVID-19 Protocols
There are currently no COVID-19 Protocols at Brant Curling. However, Brant Curling does follow the advice and recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health.
